Ministry of Home Affairs, UGC & the Supreme Court

The Ministry of Home Affairs has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court stating that it granted permission for exams to be conducted in exercise of powers under section 10(2)(1) of the Disaster Management Act 2005. It states that the academic interest of a large number of students was taken into consideration before arriving at the decision to conduct exams.

The affidavit states that the MHA duly examined the request of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the Union Home Secretary responded on 06.07.2020
