TRAI vs Broadcasters case


The Bombay High Court has reserved its order in the TRAI vs broadcasters case. The order is expected on the 24th of august. Television broadcasters such as Star India, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, and Sony Pictures Network had sought a stay on the implementation of the new rules but they have not been able to secure any interim stay or relief, nor have they been able to get any immunity from punitive action.

The DB had reserved its order after hearing the matter on a daily basis from February 26 to March 4, 2020.
